On the plane, again.
I know, I’ve been bad at updating my blog during my US travel. On the other hand, I’ve been updating my Twitter like crazy so if you want a shitload of random updates of the moment, go check my tweets from the past two weeks.
Right now I’m on the plane from Sacramento to Los Angeles, yes Los Angeles, my last stop on my trip.
After I left Atlanta I flew to Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington. There I saw cowboys, blowing angels, lots of pretty architecture, and experienced that what Texas has plenty of… Food.
I can’t remember how many food i’ve stuffed in the week I spend in Texas but it was a lot. And I got that food at legendary places like The Hickory Stick, Joe whatshisname(Mexican),… And then one day we decided that I had to experience the Riverwalk, so on Friday we drove down 7 hours to get to San Antonio, where I ate awesome food at Mi Tieras.
In between eating I did other things ofcourse, one of the most fun things being the painting that I made with Stacey. She had drawn a horse, so I decided to make it into a unicorn, with a joint, that flies because he’s eternally stoned, so I added a starry sky, and a green flowerbed repesenting earth. Then Stacey drew a sunflower, which I transformed into an evil sunflowerbirdlike thingie, she drew a lovely alien, I drew it’s accompanying spaceship. We added flames to the unicorn to make it fierce, and in the end put our hands in paint and signed the thing with our handprints. That was an epic night.
Another epic night was when I met up with Michael in San Antonio and we went out for drinks and got pretty drunk on Hurricanes. They were good though ![]()
I saw museums, lots of lovely buildings, and at the end of the week I ended up in Austin, where I had starbucks with Torsten and Stephen, before Stephen dropped me off at the airport for my flight to California.
I landed half an hour too late in Sacramento – my first delay on the trip -and then met up with Jess.
Together with her I went to the amazing Target, had Jamba Juice and Panda Express, and we went to San Fransisco where we walked the Golden Gate Bridge. The full length. Twice.
Ugh, so many awesome things have happened so far that I’m totally forgetting to mention a bunch of them, but the most important thing is that I totally love the USA, and I’ve enjoyed myself so much thusfar. I really am so happy that I went on this trip, and I love and adore all the amazing people I’ve met so far, or have spoken to on the phone thanks to my American number, and I am missing each and every one of them already tremendously.
Soon I’ll land in Los Angeles where I’ll meet up with Christian, I can’t wait to see his cute face again ![]()
Photos are on my facebook, and full quick updates are on my Twitter.
I’ll be home by the end of the week and that makes me a bit sad… But I’m gonna enjoy my last week here, that’s for sure
